MA. KAREN APRIL ASUNCION-ESGUERRA, RSW

Ma. Karen April Asuncion-Esguerra is the Senior Lead for Aftercare Development at IJM’s Center to End Online Sexual Exploitation of Children. She currently works on developing and scaling models and best practices for survivor support and well-being. She is an advocate for child protection and trauma-informed care, with 10 years of experience in social work, practice model development, and capacity building. She is a Social Work graduate of the University of the Philippines Diliman and is in the final stage of her master’s degree in Social Work. She previously served as a part-time lecturer at the same university.
