ATTY. ROSARIO RAMOS OLIVAS

(FMR.) Associate Dean for Clinical Legal Education at Tañada-Diokno School of Law, DLSU

Atty. Rosario "Chato" Olivas is the former Associate Dean for Clinical Legal Education at the Tañada-Diokno School of Law, De La Salle University. A seasoned legal educator, she regularly lectures for Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) and bar review courses, specializing in civil procedure, special civil actions, special proceedings, and criminal procedure. She now practices under her firm, RR Olivas Law, and is a member of the Free Legal Assistance Group, a human rights organization.


Chato Olivas earned her law degree from the UP College of Law in 1987 and her undergraduate degree from the UP Institute of Mass Communication in 1981. Outside of law, she enjoys painting flowers and listening to jazz. 


Recognized for her contributions to legal education, she was awarded the Ricardo J. Romulo Chair for Teaching Law (2011–2012) and served as a judge for the 2012 Philippine National Qualifying Rounds of the Jessup Competition. She has held several key academic leadership roles, including Chair of the Research Program Workshop
