This course highlights the importance of child-protective strategies in investigating this crime and in gathering and preserving evidence, for instance through the use of Videotaped In-Depth Disclosure Interviews (VIDI).
It also examines the legal bases supporting the use of such victim-independent evidence and identifies the key actors involved.
Learners are taught how to maximize digital evidence, leverage financial evidence, and utilize VIDI in case investigation and case build-up. Finally, they are given practical guidance on best practices in the investigation of OSEC cases.
