This course introduces on-scene forensics and digital forensics examination. 

It covers the digital forensics process, sources and characteristics of digital evidence, advantages of on-scene forensics, various on-scene forensics tools, and preparation of digital forensics report. 

Learners are given practical examples of the best practices in conducting effective on-scene forensics and digital forensics examination, focusing on gathering and preserving evidence to ensure admissibility in court. 

Learners will reflect on the importance of digital forensics in the investigation of online sexual exploitation of children cases. They are also given instruction on the challenges and common oversights in conducting the above forensics examinations.

PCMS Jocar Samenian (Ret) is the Former Chief of the Digital Forensic Section - RACU 6, Philippine National Police (PNP) - Anti-Cybercrime Group. He had served the PNP since 2003 and, ten years later, assigned at the Digital Forensic Laboratory at the PNP National Headquarters. To complement his extensive experience, received verious trainings related to digital forensics, cybersecurity, data security, and online sexual exploitation of children.
