OVERVIEW
This course welcomes learners to the POSE Fundamentals self-paced training and provides instructions on how to effectively participate in and complete the course.
It aims to inspire learners to complete the training by addressing a fundamental question: why we prosecute OSEC cases the way we do, with due consideration for survivor voices. In this course, learners will hear the experiences and insights of a survivor-leader from the Philippine Survivor Network, highlighting the importance of child-protective strategies in investigating and prosecuting OSEC cases.
Learners will then be reminded of the relevance of the overarching principle of the Best Interest of the Child and its application in combating OSEC.
NOTE: This course is exclusively available to participants of IJM’s POSE Fundamentals Training.
