ABOUT THE COURSE
As lawyers, we were given powers but attached with it are responsibilities that we need to uphold. It is a double-bladed sword that can either work for or against us.
For this lecture, we will only focus on selected 2019 cases.
At the end of this course, you should be able to:
- Analyze the narrative of cases covered in updates in legal ethics part 3
- Explain the ruling of the Supreme Court in some of the cases covered in selected 2019 cases
- Identify the different rules mentioned in the Code of Professional Responsibility (CPR) in the outcome of the cases covered
- Explain why practicing the legal profession is vested with great power and responsibility

LECTURER

(Fmr.) Judge Marjorie T. Uyengco-Nolasco
Judge Nolasco finished both her Pre-law course and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines.
After passing the 1998 Bar Examinations, she engaged in private practice, first, as an associate lawyer in a law firm, and then as Managing Partner at the Nolasco and Uyengco Law Offices, which she co-founded with her husband in 2000.
